Hi, my name is Gavin Tyler. Having over 15 years experience in design isn't everything - but it helps. I started with promotional and sales material, packaging and magazine layout in Nottingham. After three years it was back to the South East and London, where I moved to book design, working with clients such as Manchester United, ITV Sport and other ITV tv book tie-ins. This included working on sales pitches, book covers, art direction and photo shoots. Sometimes things must change and we alll need space to grow, so I found myself working for a design studio with Clinique, Estée Lauder, Asprey & Garrand, ABN Amro among my clients. I also worked with many other large companies and along side smaller start-ups.
Changing the view is important every now and then and I wanted to swap my view of high rises and urban decay for wide open beaches and a slower pace of life, so we moved to Cornwall. From then on the freelance work has been building up and the business is going from strength to strength. Building on a strong skills base and working with a network of businesses in the local area, I have been able to add new services to my repertoire....
